Closing Pool: Sand Filter.

Hi Everyone,

I am closing my pool. I read the pool school and there is no mention on what to do with the sand in the sand filter.
Do I have to empty it? I am planning to bring it inside, so it's not going to be on the freezing temps.

There is no reason to empty it as long as it's not too heavy to lift.

thank you for your help.
I drained the tank. Not entirely. I can hear water in there when a shake it. Is that ok? I am covering with a plastic bag so no dust gets in there.

Don't worry about the little bit of water left in the filter. It's in the shallow dished bottom and there's not enough of it to hurt anything when it freezes. Leave the drain plug out.
