Question on blowing out supply side....

I plan on closing my pool myself. I watched what the pool company did last year and don't think its worth anywhere near what they charge!

I just have one skimmer and a floor drain. There is a diverter valve in the skimmer that they remove. I do not have a shut off valve for the floor drain. I have a gizzmo for the skimmer.

When I start blowing at pad side, do I blow until I see bubbles coming out of the drain and both holes in the Skimmer? The gizzmo threads into one hole...what do I plug the other hole with? Rubber plug? I assume no antifreeze gets added to the floor drain pipe? The gizzmo has a cap on top...is this where the antifreeze gets added?

Now for extra insurance...can I add a pop bottle partially filled with antifreeze to the skimmer for freeze protection?
