First time closing SWG pool

I have closed my pool for seven years using winterizing kit from in the swim,it worked well,
as far as the chemicals go ,after i bring the pool up to shock and all of the and all of the other test levels are ok ,do i add algecide and will that be enough or should i get a winterizing kit

Assuming you are not going to be running the pump and generating chlorine ... a SWG pool is not different than any other pool you are closing.

Personally I have never closed a pool, so will defer to others ... only extra thing to do might be to remove the SWG cell to store indoors.

Jason thank you,everything but the sand filter and heater i remove and store inside,they are drained and plugs installed
