Cannot connect new pool pump because of hose ends

Hello everyone,

I had to replace my old pump, and I got a Hayward SP1580X15. The connectors on my hoses will not fit on this pump because it has internal threading for both connections. The old pump had a hose with an O-clamp holding in on for the skimmer. I think I can use a Hayward SPX1091Z7 to connect the hose from the skimmer to the pump with the old hose. The one I can't figure out is the hose to the sand filter. It is a stiff, plastic hose with a moveable plastic part that attaches the hose. It is one of the connectors that you turn by hand. The old pump had external threading that this attached to. After looking for several hours online, I could not an adapter to convert this from internal threading to external threading. Has anyone had this problem before? What part, if any, can I get to fix it?

Thanks

Best bet I find for pool fittings is to use poly irrigation fittings. Yours is probably 1 1/2" or 2". Ask at Home Depot or any irrigation suppliers. Take photos of what you need to do or even
better, if you can, take off both ends of what you need to connect and any knowledgeable irrigation salesperson should be able to set you up with what you need.

As I said any irrigation specialist or plumbers merchant who also carries irrigation fittings should be able to
work out a solution for you. Take the parts in with you if you can.
Trying to find a way to do it with pics on the net isn't likely to succeed.
