AA treatment backwash into grass?

When i close my pool in october, I was wondering if i could do a AA (absorbic acid) treatment. would it be safe to backwash onto the grass?

live in michigan, when i close the pool, i drain 1/3 of the water, thus if i do an AA treatment i would eliminate 1/3 of my stains.

It shouldn't have any ill effect on the grass.

It gets washed away rather than sequestered...

I have very light staining, Yes 1/3 will be washed away.
