I have been in the process of converting spa to BBB the last 2 weeks and have had a couple of slips but I think I'm close.
Numbers taken today
FC 4
CC 0
PH 7.7
TA 60
CYA 100
Borates 50

First the obvious, my cya is to high. This happened when I was adding dichlor using old test strips. My T-2600 had run out of reagent. So I way over shot FC and CYA. This fix seems to be drain water and refill but how much? My spa is 510 gallons.

TA is low but when I raise it PH goes up so I add MA and TA and PH go down. I aerate to raise PH but then TA stays low?

Thanks for the help Jim

usually TA up is just baking soda ... which has a very small affect on the pH. Surprised that you saw the pH rise.

Borax will raise the pH with minimal TA effects.

You can see what should be happening at the bottom of poolcalculator.
