Closing a baqua pool that I plan to convert in the Spring

Hello,
This is our 2nd year with our pool, first went very well with baqua, but this year has been terrible.
I am closing the pool this weekend, and plan to convert to chlorine in the Spring...so do I add shock and sanitizer (baqua) before closing or do nothing? I know last year before I closed I added extra chemicals, but I know now I want to levels to drop. I'm afraid though that if I do nothing it will be a nightmare when I open it. There is a little algae in it, I vaccuumed to waste tonight and added algicide. Any advice would be appreciated!

Cover the pool and forget it. You'll fight the green stuff next year regardless. Save some cash for chlorine.
