pool numbers

Hey Gang,

Ok, so I put up my pool last week, using BBB method. Water looks beautiful...added some cya (using sock method) and it has come up, however my pool seems to not be holding chlorine very well...any suggestions.

Here are the pool numbers from 10:18 this am.

TC=0.5
PH=8.2
CYA=33
TA=150

It seems I keep adding 0.4 gallons of bleach everyday (using bleachCalc!). Should I raise the cya higher?

You are going to have to add bleach everyday anyway, so you are fine. You need to lower your pH with muriatic acid though.

When do you add your bleach? It's best to add it in the evening, so it can work at night when it will not be degraded by the sun.
