IDENTIFICATION OF OLD EQUIPMENT (CHD) PRE-PUREX DE FILTER?

We have a metal de canister similar to the SMBW 2000. It is probably an older model.
I am thinking that it was the predecessor of the SMBW series, with another name or company "CHD"?? The issue is the clamp ring which has "CHD" on it, but isn't a screw /handle type of tightener. It is a a pressure/flip clamp. I need to replace it. With the clamp ring 072898 be compatible or not?
any thoughts?

Hard to say without know what the old filter is. Is there any ID on it besides the CHD on the clamp?

Maybe post a few pictures and see if that helps anyone.
