Storm is over for a little while ( learned something)

Well just like a baby I was up every three hours checking the level of the pool

We got at least 3 plus inches last nite from the tropical storm
and will get more all day today

Learned a little something and thought I would pass it along
I backwashed and rinsed my pool down to the lower part of the skimmer during the storm last eve
When I got up at three (Still Raining) looked like the pool wasnt gaining ? went to bed
Got up at 6 Am noticed the pool was really lower? (Still raining)
went out and found that when I left the filter on rinse, it was slowly draining the pool through gravity
This seems to work really well (No pump) we are expecting rain all day again today.
I put the pump back on Filter and will see how it goes today

I have noticed too that when I have my filter set on rinse it will slowly leak water out when the pump isn't pumping it out. Would be a good way to slowly drain a pool for winter closing too.. If you don't forget to check it and drain way to far
