    That just sounds crazy to me ... no mention of removing whatever substrate you put in ... just add chlorine for a week and you are done !!!

    I can't imagine how much you'd have to shock after you were finished to get your pool back to swimmable. Though I often threaten if the kids don't use the pool enough, we'll have a trout farm in the backyard.

    I've actually seen where they turned an inground pool into a pond and it was amazing, but I can't imagine my intex pool as a trout farm! And going back and forth between pool and pond...yuck!

    Oh and this is the one that really turned their inground pool into something. http://kilk.com/pond/ My husband used his ideas for a bog filter for our pond.
