Shock process with automatic cover

Hi-

I doing the shock process. The pool is very clear and has been for weeks. It was only hazy when started. I started the shock process because had been battling water mold on and off. I feel like I am close to being "done" but know the 3 rules for overnight and have not gotten there yet.

Question on covers. We have an auto with no fence so if we are not home it has to be shut. I am around most of the time. Once I do last test at night I close it. Does it matter in the shock process that this has to be closed sometimes? In the morning, I wait a bit after opening to do first test.

Thoughts on anyone with auto covers

Of course, safety is first. So no matter what, stick with that rule.

The cover should be off at least some during the day to allow the sun to help burn off CC.

thanks. cover is really off most of the day from 7am to 11 pm. Im at 1 CC and have been for awhile.
