Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I have to say I've learned a lot from it. Just wanted to share my setup. I hope I can build an in ground in the near future. But for now, this setup makes a great addition to cool down and relax from work. Here are some pics of the ground prep, plumbing etc. :-D

Great setup. I am building a very similar fountain with an intex metal frame pool. I split the return pvc pipe and made a T with holes drilled like yours. I am having trouble deciding how best to secure the pvc piping.

Did you just zip tie it to the metal vertical pools, or does the 90 degree angle rest on the ground before running up?

How do you adjust the height? Did you add two unions in middle of vertical pipe and replace with shorter longer middle pieces??
