The only pool store/guy in my city asked what is CYA?

So yesterday I called this pool guru in my city to come measure my pool using his Lovibond DPD PH/FC tablet based system as I only have aqvacheck trutest strips & digital reader and wanted to confirm my high PH levels.

We get talking and I ask him does he know where i can buy stabalizer.. he says what is that.. so I say well, the CYA level. He's like I have no clue what CYA is, and to not complicate things I should only look at PH/FC...

WOW just WOW!!

Thanks to this forum soon I'm going to be the most knowledgeable pool guy in my city of 150,000 people
