ph is not accurate above FC of 10 so ignore it for now. Keep your FC levels above 12 until
1) you lose less than 1ppm overnight (overnight chlorine loss test) AND
2) you have less than .5 CC AND
3) the water is clear, no cloudiness, algae or anything
Every time you let your FC drop below shock level you allow the algae to start growing again. You should be checking your FC frequently
You also need to brush because algae can form a protective film

It is also kind of alarming that my pool went from about 11-12 FC to about 21 in a little over a day. Is that normal? It also rained too, which I thought would have brought my FC levels down not up. I just tested my pH as well and it's at about a 7.5 or so.
