Lowerin pH with Dry Acid

I have a quick question that relates to the topic instead of starting a new tread on the same subject. I was also using dry acid to lower my PH and then switched to MA. I was able to get my PH down easy enough but I went from a TA off 110 down to 80ppm now.

Does Dry acid lower the TA the same as MA does? I am using 12% bleach to sanitize with which keeps pushing my PH up. So I am having to constantly added acid every now and then. I guess I should bring my TA back up a bit too while I am at it?

According to poolcalculator, the dry acid lowers the TA slightly more than MA for the same pH change.

Your pH ids rising due to the liquid chlorine which is basically pH neutral. Any aeration in your pool, will cause the pH to rise.
