Ladder help

We have the Intex 16x48 ultra and using the ladder that came with it.
I have a ladder from when we had our big 24x52 from Recreational Factory Direct that we got back in like 98 or so.

I cleaned it off and went to use it then remembered why we didn't use it much. The legs float up and it won't stand up by itself.
I had to put some of my dive weights in the bottom to keep it down.
I'd like to use this instead of the cheap ladder but need a way to weigh it back down. The weights are long gone.
Any ideas.

drill a hole and fill it up with dry sand or pea gravel

sometimes I think there is a spot for bricks to be put inside

Our ladder had the holes towards the top and bottom. I just dunked and allowed it to fill with water.

SOme people get a couple lengths of schedule 40 pvc, glue a cap on one end, fill with sand or gravel, glue a cap on the other, and you've got a cheap water proof weight. Just have to fix it to the ladder.
2 or 3 of those should work.
