lake pool float

Kid's uncle gave them a giant float that has been regularly used in the local lake. What should I wash it with prior to letting it get in the pool?

I'd just wipe it down with a diluted bleach mixture. As long as you are keeping the FC where it should be you don't have a problem.

From another post, seems like the only concern would be introducing Yellow algae from the lake to the pool. If you wipe/soak it down with the bleach/water mixture to kill everything and maintain good FC levels in the pool ... no worries.

I would not suggest taking it back forth between the lake and pool though.
