Went out to vacuum, but nothing happened when I turned pump on. Switched outlets, nothing, though radio works from both sides. The motor felt hot to touch (but it may always feel that way since it's sitting in hot sun!). Now, about half hour before this, my daughter had plugged a radio into the outlet right next to the one the pool pump is plugged in to. When she plugged it in, she said the pump shut off (at least she thinks it did. She wasn't paying much attention to it as it wasn't important at the time). Our AC unit is right next to it, so it could have shut off and that may be what she heard. But she thinks it was the pump, which is on a timer, so it could have coincidentally been ready to switch off at that time).
Do motors tend to overheat? Any other ideas to try?? Really need to vacuum....had storm last night (!) and lots of stuff in pool. Thanks!
