What size pump do i need for x pool size

Okay after trying to repair my old pump my self ive decided to buy a new pump. But im not sure what size the old one was. Is there any kind of calculation tool to figure out what size pump i would need for x amount of gallons? Im not 100% sure on the size of the pool, but it is a large steel sided above ground pool.

Provide the dimensions of the pool and we can estimate the gallons, although the size does not really affect the pump size. It more matters what your water flow requirements are ... water feature etc. If it is just a basic above ground pool you likely only need a 0.5 or 0.75 hp pump.

Along with the pool size give us the size of the filter and what size, type and approx lengths of the plumbing? Also what size eyeball do you have?
