Pump turns off

The timer switch is still in the on position and the breaker is set, but the pump turns off. Its not a PG&E issue because the waterfall pump still works. I am not hearing any extra noises from the pump as if it is straining...

My first time here, and I want you to know I appreciate all your work!!!

Pool pumps are intolerant of voltage deviations from spec (they get hot and trip the thernal protection), you also need to check (with the power off) that the shaft / impeller turn freely. If this isn't also right, , again the motor will heat up and thermal trip.

just happened to me
came home pump was not on but hot as heck

turned power off to it
let it cool down some

turned it on started up made alot of noise

turned off took the motor off of housing

spins up fine but noisy

time for a new pump

picked up a new pump
AMAZING difference
much higher pressure
much higher volume of water movement
vacuuming is a lot quicker now due to increased suction pressure

the age of the old pump was unknown as it came with the house when i bought it
