Sulphuric acid versus muriatic acid

So the place I get my chlorine does not have muriatic acid but they do carry sulphuric. They tell me it will do the same thing in lowering PH without the nasty side effect of out gassing in the mechanical room.

Any thoughts on this? Is it diluted the same 4 to 1.?
Will it still read the same on my probe for the auto feeder?

Thanks for your help.

See this for a brief discussion (maybe try the search feature):

I assume the probe is reading the pH ... so that would not be affected, but not sure it is good to mix the 2 in the auto-feeder.

Thanks Jason. The only postive I see right now is the no out gassing.
I would not mix the two, just use one in place of the other.
I think I will stick to muriatic acid.
