I am fighting algae. I am fighting high PH & TA. I have been brushing, vacuuming, adding MA (per the pool calculator info) to the pool several times today. I am wondering how long after the last dose of MA do I have to wait before I add bleach to shock?

30 minutes with pump running and added in front of return (or less if you do some brushing in between as well). Just so long as it is pretty well mixed in.

If you are fighting algae are you going through the shocking process detailed here? pool-school/shocking_your_pool
If so your Free Chlorine is likely > 10 ppm which renders the pH test invalid. Either let FC drop to below 10 and check and adjust to around 7.2 and then start the shocking process again or ignore pH until you complete the process.

You shouldn't be doing both at once. Post some test results and we'll help you get your pool fixed.
