    flood light in pool?

    hello can i put regular flood light bulb in my under water pool light, the burnt out bulb say 500w 120v
    28,000 gal ig plaster pool with attach spa
    built in 79 and haven't been re plastered
    cartridge filter clean&clear 420
    Pentair Intelliflo 011018

    No. Its base is too small and too much heat is generated for the design.

    LED bulbs won't produce enough light for your pool, nor are they U/L listed. I strongly encourage putting in a proper bulb and lens gasket for your fixture.

    My pool has two Hayward spot lights. I bought them in St. Martin, French West Indies, I found them online https://pool360.poolcorp.com/product...s/default.aspx

    They are spot lights, but I would prefer flood lights. Can I just change the bulb and get a flood light effect that lights the pool evenly?
