Backwash problem

Hey guys im new to the site i have a question about my pool getting kickback after backwashing. the pool has a DE filter (using valcanic ash) with a sep tank. so after im finishing backwashing itll kickback a cloud just one spurt seems to be the valcanic ash but its doing it before i even put a fresh scoop into the skimmer so i believe its coming from sep tank but the bag in tank looks fine no holes tears anything like that. after putting fresh ash into skimmer theres no kickback everythings fine. only get kickback after a backwash an its not even everytime. any input would be apretiated. thanks

Sounds like you haven't backwashed completely and there's still some filter media in the plumbing. When you reverse flow back to normal, what was in the inlet is now in the outlet, and into the pool it goes!
