Air valve issue on easy set pool...... Please help!

Hello everyone, I am new to the board and I have a quick question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I've had several easy set pools and none have ever given me a problem like what I'm having now. I can't fill the ring up to it's capacity because as I pump the air in I can hear it blowing out of the same valve. I think I when I first put the air pump piece, I may have forced it in because it goes in on a slant instead of through that little hole in the middle. Is there any way to seal it enough to fill the ring up completely? Thank you kindly

    Hope
