Maybe try cropping the edges just to his head and feet, it'll allow for it to show a tad bit larger in your avatar. I like the whole image personally, or I'd say crop it more so it would be larger.

frogabog: LOL I spent 30 minutes re sizing it so that it would take it. Not too good at that stuff.
Didn't you hear though, adding bleach will ruin your water and stain your liner and turn your hair green!

Linen-I have a Kodak playful camera which is waterproof. Bought it online and I love it.
Try Irfanview (http://irfanview.com) for basic image editing. It's a powerful little open source (free) editor that can handle nearly any image type.
Easiest rotator ever... open the image, press R on the keyboard and it rotates. Press S, and you get a "save as" dialog box. To crop, just drag and resize as needed with the handles, use ctrl+y to crop. To re-size a file, select file->save for web and reduce it by kb or percentage. Really quite handy for quick editing.
