Simple pool bonding question,

It all depends on the design of the wall joint. If it's a typical joint that has dozens of bolts, it's safe to undo one of them. The only potential problem is getting the nut back tight. There's a possibility that the bolt will spin before the nut gets tight, but there are ways of handling that if it happens. Also you shouldn't just put the wire under the nut. You should use a bolt-on lug designed for bonding.

You need to use an approved lug to connect the bond wire. In most areas the requirement is for a direct burial lug.

do you think something like that would do ?

Thank you .
My advise would be to ask your inspector what they like to see in your area. Here, my inspectors want direct burial lugs even if they will remain above ground. They have markings on the sides to indicate this. Your area may allow that type of lug but, it may not be rated for outdoor or direct burial use.
