    20 lbs of chlorine pucks!

    Hello to all wonderful patient members!

    just getting started with bbb method. just received my new test kit! ok, do I use up my pucks (bought before I found TFP and the BBB method)?
    15,000 gallon kd 16x33x42 AG. Sand filter TF 100 test kit

    I would NOT... but don't throw them away... they can be used while on vacation.

    get us a full set of numbers with that new test kit, and we can tell you whether to use those Pucks now or later. If your CYA is low, using the pucks would be no harm.

    You need chlorine in your pool. Is it a new pool? You can use pucks to add CYA, or buy stabilizer to add it. You need it if it truly is 0.

    Added 2 floaters of pucks and 2 jugs of chlorine, oh, and 2 cups of cya through mesh screen floating

    Looks like a good start. The CYA may not show up in tests for about a week, but assume you have when using the pool calculator. No real need to test for it much before then.
