I was just about to buy a Pentair Intelliflo but got nervous about the reliability and durability of the variable speed controller, etc. I found stuff about EcoPump on teh internet and am interested, but was wondering what people who have them have found about the durability and energy savings from the Ecopump

What are your electric rates? If you pay less than about $0.20/kwh a regular two speed pump is your best choice. And if you pay much more than that, an IntelliFlo is worth it, even with the relatively small risk of problems.
