I keep getting signs that I have algae, even after passing OCLT with clear water. I'd like to remove my light to clean behind it. Can someone tell me how to remove it?

There should just be 1 screw on the top front of the light holding it in the niche. The cord should be long enough to then set the fixture on the deck ... or just leave it dangle in the water to expose to the FC.

Although haven't we have heard of people finding all kinds of nasty stuff behind the light before?
Yes, for algae that prefers shade, such as yellow/mustard algae. There is some light, just not very much, behind light niches. I'm not sure how yellow/mustard algae can become so prolific behind them given the very low level of light, but it is something we see, but again for yellow/mustard algae, not for green or black algae.
