    Skimmer basket sock.

Just a FYI, but for those who still use the Intex skimmer that attaches to the lip of the pool. I have been using the 1 gallon paint strainers from Lowes/HD. Get 2 for like $3...

Sweet, may have to pick some up next time I go and give them a try. Thanks for the tip.

Bmarly, do you place the strainer inside the basket? Or between the bucket and strainer?

Yes, paint stainer goes inside the basket. Then fold the elastic band over, then place the blue, floaty, lip thing(?) over that.

Also use these for the hose vac. as well.

Thank you! I need to do something like this for that really fine stuff that sneaks thru and back into the pool and not sure I want to do the DE thing just yet. I'm still "getting my feet wet" (pun intended) in this pool maintenance thing and don't want to introduce too many variables at one time.
