Hayward heater very loud explosions.

Hi, I need help. My Hayward heater after starting, is making a very loud just like an explosion noise. It is sounds like there is propane accumulating and then explodes. I don't know what could be wrong. I had checked by pool company and they said that it is propane company fault. I had the gas company come and they did cleaning and inspection but they said that there was no problem with it. Did anybody had similar problem? Can somebody suggest something? I'm thinking about buying a new heater but I don't want to spend money and still have the same problem.

Welcome to TFP.

When the gas company cleaned it, did they brush out the burner tubes? It sounds like trash or spider webs in the burner tubes and that's causing it to flame out and then re-ignite.

I'm not 100% sure if they did. Can I do it by myself? Is it difficult to do it?

You can shine a light in there and see if you see anything in the tubes.
