Here is my second question. I understand the sand cove on the inside of the pool wall, how about the outside of the pool wall. How do most of you handle this on your pools? I hate the thought of trapping moisture against the wall with more dirt or sand. Any thoughts. Thanks Foamer

You don't have to back fill. If its a safety issue (like a big hole next to the pool) I would back fill. Mine is buried 28" and back filled. The pool doe not rely on the back fill to function as it was designed.

I just got my pool up over the weekend and I think I'm going to back fill to the top of the bottom rails. I'm paranoid of erosion and standing water deteriorating the ground below the rails, I paid a lot of money for my sand and I want it to stay where I put it.
