How to control/wire the 110v hayward 2 speed pump ?

Im gonna be putting a Hayward SP15922S 2 speed 110v pump in , and the question is , how is the speed being controlled in that pump ? there is a toggle switch that switches between , hot-neu1 and hot-neu2 ? is there a simple timer that I can use to automate the speed control ? (I would like to use it on low for 8 hours and on hi for 2 hours)

There are timers you can get that can control both speeds, for example the Intermatic PE153. However, for most people it is simpler to use a timer that only turns the pump on and off and control speed manually. The only times you normally need to use high speed are backwashing the filter, priming the pump, and vacuuming, all of which involve manual intervention, so a manual switch works well.
