Ok guys- I have now got a pretty clear pool since I have been shocking for mustard algae. The fc level is over 20 and from what the Pool School says I need to keep it that way for 24 hours. I am in my first 4 hours of the mustard algae level shock program.
My question is- what do I do about the CYA level? It is now back down to almost 0. Ph level is about 8.
Sure need your help and thanks so much!

Ignore the PH while at shock level. Test and adjust PH once FC comes down to normal levels.

You want CYA between 30 and 50 (higher for a SWG pool). With CYA down near zero you are going to lose chlorine to sunlight extremely quickly. You should raise CYA up to around 30 for now, and then raise it the rest of the way when you are done shocking.
