Can I shock if my cya is 0?

Yes,But I don't have a SWG..But,before shocking you need to make sure your water balance is in check..Shocking the pool will work alot better..Then you can get your Stabilizer in for CYA.
YOu certainly can but the buffering affect of around 20ppm CYA makes your FC a little easier to control. Don't tryto shock with your SWG...use Clorox. Why is your CYA zero with an SWG?
Go anhead and add CYA at 30 ppm and shock at that level. Don't run the SWG while shocking. After shocking, raise CYa level for your SWG.
My cya is 0 cause I couldnt find my stabilizer from last year and procrastinated on buying another bottle.
Sounds like you need to go shopping for stabilizer and bleach....
