Intex 2500 gpm sand filter hose trouble

My short hose between the pump and the filter sprung a small pin hole leak. I had an extra hose (long one) to use temporarily.

Question

Can that small hose be plumbed with rigid hose?

If not what can be used from hardware store?

I do- have the "special" fittings to get from Intex thread to PVC.

Yes.... I've look through those links, rather quickly. AND before posting too!! Some pictures are not loading and or dead links.

Most of the pictures I have seem posters have kept the OE hose between the pump and the filter for the intex sand filter.

The reason for asking was not how to do it but can that short hose be converted to ridged. Concerned about vibration. I can not make suction and return rigid as I have an Easy Set style pool.
