Hi I am new here. Followed each step of instructions carefully to set up brand new sand filter. Ran the backwash and that went perfectly. Turned off the pump. Switched to rinse. Now The motor will not start. It is plugged in to a grounded circuit. Please help? Thanks very much!

Since this should be on a GFCI, did the breaker pop on the outlet and need reset? Or the main breaker at the panel?

Some here have mentioned their GFCI tripping when cycling their pump. Sounds like yours tripped, and needs to be reset.
The GFCI passes the test. But working on it again...the on off timer button does not seem to be "clicking" when pressed as it did before. Have there been issues with the power buttons?
Does your pump have a built-in timer or is there a separate timer on it? My (external)timer went bad before. If so, disconnect the timer and plug directly into the outlet...
I have an internal timer. Ended up taking out the power toggle. It was actually jammed! So problem solved and its working great. Thanks!
