Jandy Valve Actuator (JVA) over-rotates

I think I know the answer, but wanted to confirm: I have a JVA2440 that's over-rotating. In one direction, it stops where it's supposed to, but in the other direction, it just keeps going. I haven't opened it up yet, but does this sound like a bad microswitch or broken cam lobe?
