not a newcomer but i cant get rid of my cloudy water!!

ok so i have had my pool for a long time however, i replaced my liner this year. i had my pool clear as can be when i opened it.. then i developed an air leak that kept making my water cloudy.. jasonlion helped me there.. now although all my chemicals are in acceptable levels i cannot get my water clear again.. im dying over here.. its not green, just cloudy, clarifier didnt help so im kinda stuck.. just to let anyone reading know, i have just shocked my pool and added stabilizer so i dont know if that makes a difference.

What did you use to "shock" your pool?

Post up a full set of test results ... you know the drill

I find it hard to believe that JasonLion did not have you get a good test kit ... that is the only way to truly take control.

See my signature for the recommended test kits.

So , what was wrong with the stabilizer according to them (realizing that it is one of the test the pool stores are the worst at)

BTW, 5 gallons of 10% would have raised your FC by 14ppm and 12.5% would have raised it by 18ppm.

If your CYA is above 40ppm, you did not even get up to shock level.

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
