Booster and main pump voltage

Should a pool motor be idealy 220 or 120 volts. Both of mine are set up for 120 V right now and I did not set up the wiring so feel a little short changed for such a powerful motor running so long. I wish I could change my wiring to 220 but assume it will cost alot to pay an electrician.

It doesn't really make much difference which voltage you use as long as everything is wired correctly.

When you say "such a powerful motor running so long" what is actually going on? Could you tell us more about your situation. There may be some other way to address your concerns besides chaining the voltage.
