Hi all, I read the post here and said 1/4~1/2 water loss each day will be normal, but when i talk to my pool store and they told me my pool may have leaking. They recommended me to hire the leak detection to check my pool. My question is anyone live in my area also losing same amount of water like me in these couple days? The reaosn i'm asking because the weather is cold and windy here. I don't know is this normal evaporation.

The bucket test is the first thing to try. It's easy to do and it costs you nothing (except a bucket if you don't already have something).
down here in texas in sun nearly all day i lose about 1/4" per day. anything more than that (unless you live in the southwest) is too much.
