Brownish Water in return while vacuuming?

I have searched around the forums and found other that have the same problem of getting a brownish cloud of "dirt" returning back into the pool while vacuuming. Most of the responses mention to vacuum straight to waste however my Jacuzzi Laser 192 filter does not have a waste setting...it has Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Drain, Whirlpool and Winterize so which setting would be best to go straight to waste...Drain?
