The hose that runs from the filter to the return port are dripping and driving me crazy. Hubby even changed out the hose with a new one and its still dripping, worse now than before. The problem with the other hose was that after a couple day, the hose would pop off the return then water drains out. Its happened twice this week. Both times the pump was running with no water in it. So, hubby put on a replacement hose that we had as back, but its not a great quality one, just one of those intex type. So is there anything I can wrap around the ends from the filter and the return part on the outside of the wall before attaching the hoses? We have the ring clamps on them too, but don't want to tighten to the point of cracking the ends. Frustrated.

Had the same issue, I wrapped teflon tape around it only 2 layers, not overkill. Pool installed did this and I asked him why, seems to work for me.
