First timer. Have new Taylor 2006. Testing for CH. When I added 5 drops of 0011L the color stayed clear but there is a purple layer laying on the bottom of the tube, it wouldn't mix in? All other reading are right on target.

It might take quite a bit of mixing (30 seconds to a minute of swirling) in some (rare) situations.
I really swirled but, it stayed in the bottom. I'll try again when next testing. Thanks for the quick response. This forum is impressive. I'm learning how to handle the pool. Going for Borax next.

That's the reason I love the SpeedStir. I like it for all the tests but that one test makes it invaluable.
