Chlorinator - should I turn it into a tiki torch?

Since I am a convert to the BBB method, I wonder if the automatic chlorinator is of any use whatsoever. I thought about keeping pucks in it and turning it on low just to help keep TC levels up during sunny days or while there are several swimmers stirring things up. What do you guys think?
