dirty screen

I have a pool pilot cc15 - the screen gets clogged up daliy and of course it stops putting chlorine into the pool. Its looks like pine needle and brown slimmie stuff like maybe pollen? I have a de filter new de and I just checked no holes in the girdes. Could it be the bypass valve letting some dirt get to the screen. Very Frustrating when the pool turns Cloudy cause the pool pilot stops making chlorine. Any Ideas

If that much stuff is getting by the filter something is definitely wrong
