Hi,

I have and above ground pool, 21'.

Beginning of the seaon, salt rading were below 2200, even though store reading was at 2800.

We added salt and it went above 2600 and it started generating.

two days ago, had a look at the reading and the salt level read 0.

I cleaned it, and it still reads 0.

What can I do? Salt level in store is at 3800.

Any idea besides buying A 399.00$ CELL.

we've had our system since 2008 but has been stored every winter so total time of use is under two years...

Help!

Did it stop generating chlorine when it stopped reading the salt level?

Yes it did. And the new part that I need is the GLX-CELL-5.

I just can't understand why I'd have to buy a new one after 3 1/2 years .

What i'd like to do is trick the machine to bypass the salt sensor so it would generate salt even with a low level of salt.

Any idea on how to do it?

New unit showed up yesterday but didn't even make it through the night. It has multiple problems, seems like the cell is bad, timer does not cut off the pump when it should, manual pump switch doesn't operate the pump at all. Had a feeling things would end up like this but I'm spoiled since I've used one for so long. Hopefully I can get it replaced soon with one that operates, going on vacation in two weeks.
