Newbie here - pump help please

Hi - we just got an above ground pool (14'x48" Intex) this year. First time we've had our own. The pump (Intex Krystal Clear 637R, 1000gph) that came with it seemed a bit undersized for the pool. So we got a Intex Krystal Clear 635T (1500gph, plus a timer) that I thought would work better. But the hoses on the new pump are too large for the holes in the pool. So my wife bought a "universal hose kit" that includes some 1.25" to 1.5" adapters and a couple hoses but no instructions. Can anyone help me figure out how to use this kit? It's a "Summer Escapes Universal Hose Kit" made by Polygroup.
